Once again, I'm blessed to celebrate my birthday with my loved ones.

This year, my WHOLE family is here! (my brothers & families, even my MOM & DAD from Muar).

A "black" & WHITE X'mas

Why was that "uncle" holding my hand?
Was I too eager to get a present that I was caught cutting queue??
My kids said my HAT looks more like a KFC bucket.

Look at these black and white pictures... they sure bring back colourful memories of my many christmas celebrations in Tanjung Club, Muar.

Musuem of Sabah

Learning history the fun way...
The Heritage Village is next to the musuem building. It showcases different types of houses of the indigenous groups of Sabah.
There's an observatory tower too!
Discover something very interesting inside the "long house"
A bamboo & rattan "trampoline"... what a brilliant idea!

I simply love the Musuem & the Heritage Village. (it's a "must see" place if you happen to be in Sabah)

Shadow play at the beach

I find this picture interesting & artistic but my son disagreed and said "it looks like ghost" (reading too many Mr Midnight & Goosebumps are detrimental to his artistic development...)

Sand castle

"Mommy...they don't let me join in the FUN!"

Beautiful beach, here I come!

Rafflesia Is Blooming!

We're considered lucky. My daughter's teacher visited Sabah thrice but didn't manage to see the flower. We're here for the first time and fortunate enough to see a Rafflesia that's blooming for the second day!

Each adult was charged RM20 (FOC for kids)  for the locals to lead us to see the rare flower. Looks like the local's "business" is Booming because of the Blooming flower!

Hunting For The Exotic Flower

The canopy bridge...
A family photo with the exotic and mysterious flower.

The vile smell gives off by the flower attract insects such as flies... that's how the pollen are transported from male to female flower.

My igloo

Finally I have my second home!!!

I name it as igloo because even though it may be as low as -45 degree C out there, the temperature inside an igloo can go up to 16 degree C when warmed by body heat alone.

Love & friendship surely warm our hearts!
