MISSION POSSIBLE

This Sunday afternoon my house will turn into the Spy Headquarters for some Girl Spies (not Spice Girl) to locate my daughter's 10 missing birthday candles. As I'm truly busy with work, I "recycle" most of the games which were used in my son's Spy birthday a few years ago (I kept the softcopy).

The "TOP SECRET" & "PRIVATE & CONFIDENTIAL" invitation letters were delivered to Tian Huey's classmates a week ago. Most of them have confirmed to accept the IMPORTANT MISSION!

Models & Superstars

Tian Huey's drawing on the white board.
Can you spot "Marilyn Monroe" with her famous pose? (Huey said she remembered seeing Marilyn's wax figure in Madam Tussaud's Wax Musuem in Hong Kong)
I like the way she draws those people in blue... it's a good way not to outshine the main characters. Very creative.

Interviewing the superstar... is that Hannah Montana??

Thank You Teachers!

Making cards for their beloved teachers... it's very meaningful.

I told my kids that besides thanking the teachers who are teaching them now, they should always be grateful to those who have taught them before. (飲水思源)

One of the very good & dedicated teachers is Juin's standard 4 class teacher 姚老師. Even though she's not teaching any of my kids now, we bought her a box of chocolate to show our appreciation. I hope she'll continue to be such an inspirational teacher.

Gifts from my kids

Tian Zi creates a  pendant with Ello (can you see that little pink heart?)
Tian Huey gives me the heart shape cards (believe it or not, that black lace was given by mom to me more than 20 years ago and now my daughter's using it to make me a card)

Juin the Lego fan transforms the colourful plastic blocks into something artistic

TZ & Buddha

"Mom, can I ask Buddha to give me 100 marks for my exam?" my little girl asked me innocently as her exam will start next week.

I told her only if she works hard she'll be blessed with good result. (Buddhism emphasizes on self-reliance)

Happy Wesak Day

Recycled Art

Tian Huey & her Kakak made all these beautiful little boxes from old greeting cards (thanks to her Cikgu Wong for sharing)
There's a box that's made from Chinese New Year card with pineapples printed on it that matches the fruity cookie box packaging.
And best of all, the little boxes fit into the yellow plastic holder perfectly. (the rest are kept inside a shoe box as shown in the 4th pix)

A Gift For Mom & Dad's Wedding Anniversary

On the way to Halong Bay, our van stopped by a craft centre and I bought this beautiful art piece made from cow horn for mom & dad's wedding anniversary.
