My little dress

Believe it or not! This is my dress! My fourth aunty made it for me when I was two.

Mom passed it to me a few years ago. My youngest daughter wore it before but too bad I didn't take any photo for her at that time.

That's me when I was about 2. I'm trying to imagine myself in that little green dress.

Times flies. One is the past and one is the present.

No one in the family can wear that little dress now.

But wait!!!

Tian Zi got an idea!

She said she'd found "someone" who can fit that dress!

My daughter's Exam Fear

My daughter "finally" can feel the stress after I gave her an ultimatum. I told her if she gets less than 60 marks for her Chinese test paper, I'll punish her. In fact I've never imposed such rules before. However, after realizing she did badly in the previous chinese writing due to many word errors （錯別字）, I wanted her to buckle up.

Poor girl...she's worried that she will get 59%! What a nightmare!!

Why is there a heart in the air?? Does she mean that if she tells me she loves me, I shall not beat her?

"NO... it means I'm so scared that my heart POPS OUT!!!"she explained.

Craving for Maggie Mee

I don't like my kids eating too much instant noodle. Even so, Tian Zi begged for Maggie Mee last night. Her sister Tian Huey pleaded to have some too.

They're so worried that their big brother TJ would ask to share the noodle if he knew about it. Hence, they held their spoons and chopsticks very carefully so that no sound could be heard by him upstairs.

"Tian Zi, if Tian Juin comes down, just spit saliva into the noodles,"she told her little sister.

Trust me, I never taught them this "survival skill". Not sure whether they learnt it from some animals or not.

Tian Zi's 7th Birthday

Our family celebrated Tian Zi's birthday on the 18 of July. Her brother's eyes were on the pizza and not the cake!

Sports Day

Last saturday was the kids' sports day. Tian Juin took part in tug-of-war & Tian Huey joined the band. Tian Zi was just a spectator. As for mom & dad... we're the camera man.

Last sunday our family had a fun morning playing basketball together. Juin joined us after he came out from the pool.

Juin said:"Let's divide into 2 groups. If Dad's team wins, we'll order pizza tonight. And if Mom's team wins, we'll go for MacDonald's."

I said:"If my team wins, I'll order everyone to do revision tonight!"

Robotic Competition

Last Saturday Tian Juin took part in his school's robotic tournament. I found it challenging and interesting and my hubby managed to capture some candid photos of the competitors. 

The boy in black T was leading initially, but ...

...his team's robot ended up being pushed out of the ring ("The Rock"). Look at the changes in their facial expressions... 

Kudos to all the girls who had taken up the challenge! (even though all the winners for Intermediate Upper category are boys)
